Outsiderness (trailer)
This was an almost 2.5-year passion project in which I explored questions of identity, belonging, assimilation, and shame. As a child of immigrant parents from the Philippines who grew up in the 80s in a predominantly white suburb these topics played a big part in who I became. This project was supported by the Canada Council for the Arts; Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance; Osprey Community Foundation; Nelson and District Arts Council; and the Nelson Museum, Archives, and Gallery.
